Addition to OLE presenters [07.02.2007]

Millions can be claimed from person guilty of causing train accident [25.10.2006]

Two serious train accidents take place during one day [23 March 2006]

Railways more dangerous for pedestrians than roads
Last year there were 25 railway level crossing accidents in Estonia with no fatalities. There were 23 accidents involving pedestrians as a result of which died 18 people.

In Police Garden with the Police [21 August 2005]
In Tallinn, right opposite to Estonian Radio building and between Gonsiori, Pronksi, Kunderi and Kreutzwaldi streets, is an area that has been called the Police Garden since the beginning of last century. The park had also other names until the year 1994 when it was officially named the Police Garden. There have been several generations of Tallinn citizens who have walked/played in this park and participated also in traffic safety courses. The name of the park is referring to the police and therefore it should be a safe recreational area offering pleasant pass-time activities for everybody.

Driver, be careful – trains are running faster! [04.07.2005]

Operation Lifesaver Estonia box offered activities both for adults and children. The most exiting attraction was the accident simulator built by the initiative of the Road Administration, OLE’s cooperation partner, also known as the “rotating car”.

112 children’s drawings on the theme “Dangers on railway” were competing in the children’s drawing competition organized by MTÜ Operation Lifesaver Estonia
The organizers wanted the children to learn how to notice the dangers present on railways and thereby prevent accidents. The most active artists came from schools and kindergartens that are located in the proximity of railway.
